ServingOverSelling

A call to health system marketing leaders

Healthcare in the United States is increasingly unaffordable for millions. In the face of our country’s healthcare crisis, ServingOverSelling is a movement that encourages health systems to reallocate their promotional marketing spend wherever possible to instead put the resources, energy and focus of those institutions back where they belong: on helping the people they exist to serve.

The ServingOverSelling movement will succeed thanks to the commitment of marketing leaders at health systems and those who support them. The list above are the leaders who have taken The ServingOverSelling Pledge to reallocate their promotional marketing spend in whatever way to serve patients and communities rather than selling to them.
Review the Pledge to join the movement.

(Please note: while signatories have agreed to the pledge and the overall principles of the ServingOverSelling movement, the specific opinions and content published by Chris Bevolo and Bearing 287 are solely their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of those who have signed the pledge.)

When Every Dollar Counts,
Every dollar we spend matters

how you can Support the Movement

Take the Pledge

While millions face unaffordable healthcare and medical bankruptcy, health systems still spend money on Super Bowl ads, multi-million-dollar sports sponsorships, service-line promotion, and brand campaigns. Often these efforts do little to actually help the organization. In the face of our country’s growing healthcare crisis, The ServingOverSelling Pledge calls for health systems to reallocate their promotional marketing spend wherever possible to instead put the resources, energy and focus of our institutions back where they belong: on helping the people we exist to serve. Join the Community

Prioritizing ServingOverSelling will take time, effort, maybe a little pain, and support. The ServingOverSelling Online Community invites health system marketers and others in the health system marketing field who support the cause to come together to share idea, challenges, solutions and provide a little group therapy in the process. Participation requires registration and approval, and is open to all who wish to support ServingOverSelling whether they’ve committed to taking the Pledge publicly or are working on their own to make change happen.
